Like many parrots, rainbow lorikeets are social creatures and you need to look after their mental health. Jealousy, aggressivness and many other symptoms are common issues occuring in a lorikeets life. In order to avoid such issues you need to keep your Rainbow lorikeets mentally fit and present them with challenges.
Most important is to have your lorikeets deal with change. change your own habits once in a while, don't feed them for 20 years at 5pm or they will expect this to such an extent that not feeding them at 5pm can result in destructive or self destructive behaviour of the birds.
Change the placement of their food sources, keep them busy by relocating where they will find their food. Change the interior decoration and plants so they will need to re explore their cage. Introduce people and friends to your rainbow lorikeets so they get used to other people being around. These constant changes will go a long way preventing antisocial behaviour in your rainbow lorikeets.
