I have 2 scaley lorikeets, I have hand raised them. they are now nearly 4 yrs and I have just found an egg in their box. I have noticed them actualy gettying sexual and having sex. I know nothing when it comes to breeding. They are from the same parents. is this wrong?

I would love any information regarding breeding ie. diet, beding, envronment, what do I do if they hand raise. It looks like the egg may be slightly cracked. will it still be ok or if not will the parent get rid of the egg. I am so lost PLEASE HELP ME
